   Larry Eugene Anderson, of rural Philadelphia, Missouri died May 21, 2007, in his home at 63 years of age.

   The son of Wendell Lavern “Burky” Anderson and Julia V. Heston Anderson, Larry was born July 22, 1943, in Stockport, Iowa.

   A graduate of Stockport High School, Stockport, Iowa, Larry served as a technical supervisor for IBM Corporation, followed by employment as a computer technician for Halifax Corporation.  One hundred percent cowboy, Larry was a member of Deer Ridge Saddle Club.  He also enjoyed hunting wildlife and stockcar racing.

   Surviving are his mother, Julia of Stockport, Iowa; a son, Richard (Beverly) Rhoades of Ault, Colorado; two daughters, Tonya (Kyle) Austin of Lewistown, Missouri and Lisa (Tom) Gilliam of Mahomet, Illinois; two brothers, Steve (Mary Ann) Anderson of Donnellson, Iowa, and Richard (Jane) Anderson of Birmingham, Iowa; two sisters, Carolyn (Vince) Walters of Des Moines, Iowa, and Julia Graf of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Matt and Andrew Gordon, Skylar Rhoades, Tisha Richmond, Hunter Rhoades, LaKaylee Austin, Tessa Richmond, and Brianna Rhoades.  Also surviving is a special, Diane Brumbaugh of LaBelle.

   His father, Wendell preceded him in death.

   Reverend Sam Smith officiated for the May 23, 2007, afternoon services in the Coder Funeral Chapel with burial following in Midway Cemetery, north of Lewistown, Missouri.
