JERRY D. HUNZIKER

   Jerry David Hunziker, of Hurdland, Missouri, died May 23, 2007, in Knox County Nursing Home, Edina, Missouri, at 74 years of age.

   The son of Henry Herbert and Mabel Margaret Minter Hunziker, Jerry was born January 24, 1933, in Kirksville, Missouri.

   Having attended school in Knox County and Hurdland, Jerry moved to Payson, Illinois, graduating with the Seymour High School Class of 1951.  He attended the University of Missouri-Columbia before serving his country during the Korean War as a member of the United States Army.

   Jerry Hunziker united in marriage with Anna Mae Dingerson on July 29, 1953, in Payson, Illinois.  The couple celebrated more than 53 years of marriage together.

   He attended the Hurdland United Methodist Church and the Edina Assembly of God Church.

   Memberships included the Missouri and International Flying Farmers Association, the American Angus Association for more than 54 years and the Hurdland IOOF Cemetery Board.

   Surviving are his wife, Anna Mae of Hurdland; three daughters, Debbie (Kent) Hagerla of Edina, Keetha (Rex) Sykes of Hurdland and Stacy Hunziker of Hurdland; a sister, Marjorie Howe of Quincy, Illinois; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

   His parents, two sons, Aaron in infancy, and Kirby in 1999; and two grandchildren, Jeremy Sykes and Kalon Hunziker all preceded him in death.

   Pastor Dennis Smith and Reverend Robert Stevens officiated funeral services May 26, 2007, at Doss Funeral Home with music by Susie Shobe and Devon Hagerla.

   Military graveside honors were held by the Knox County American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts, in the IOOF Cemetery, Hurdland, Missouri.
