Citizen Corps Program Grant Applications Accepted Until July 13

 The State Emergency Management Agency will accept Missouri Citizen Corps Program/Council (CCP) grant applications until 5 p.m. July 13, 2007. The FY 2006 CCP Application is on SEMA’s website (www.sema.dps.mo.gov/terrorism.htm). Missouri currently has 85 registered Citizen Corp Programs/Councils.

 

“This funding can be utilized, but is not limited to starting a Citizen Corps Program/Council, enhancing current Citizen Corps Programs/Councils or developing/enhancing partner programs outside the urban areas of Kansas City and St. Louis.” said Paul Fennewald, Missouri Homeland Security Coordinator.  

 

Fennewald noted that Citizen Corps Programs located in the Urban Area Security Initiatives (UASI) areas of Kansas City and St. Louis should contact their respective UASI representative for funding.

 

SEMA will host an eligible applicant Question and Answer session on June 28, 2007 from 10:00am – 12:00pm at the SEOC, Jefferson City, MO, The Citizen Council application will be discussed in detail and further general guidance will be provided.  All applications grants will be peer reviewed.
