EDITH PEARL HAYES

Edith Pearl Hayes, 100, of Mexico, MO, died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at Pin Oaks Nursing Center.  She was born on July 20, 1906 in Guthrie, Oklahoma Territory, the daughter of Nicholas J. and Anna Margaret Schreck Kirchner. On November 20, 1937, she married John Cleary Hayes; he preceded her in death on June 4, 1985. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church.  Mrs. Hayes is survived by one daughter, Shirley Hayes, of Mexico. In addition to her husband, Pearl was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Lelia (Curtis) George.    A funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Thursday June 21 at St. Brendan Catholic Church with Fr. John Schmitz officiating. Visitation was held before the services at Arnold Funeral Home. Burial was in St. Brendan’s Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to St. Brendan Catholic Church.
