Deloma F. Snow


   Deloma Fern Snow, age 75 of LaPlata, Missouri, died Thursday, July 12, 2007 at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

   Born December 2, 1931 in Novelty, Missouri, she was the daughter of Orville and Sophia (Kautz) Snow who precedes her in death. Also preceding her in death is one daughter, Beverly Cheatum; two brothers Ralph and Raymond Snow; one stepbrother, Curtis; and two sisters, Velma Goodwin and Dorothy Taylor.

   Surviving are two brothers, Roger and Robert Snow both of LaPlata, Missouri; two sisters, Leota Krawl of Atlanta, Missouri and Ruby Voyles of LaPlata, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Velma Snow of LaPlata, Missouri; one son-in-law Bill Cheatum and his wife Shirley of Edina, Missouri; four grandchildren Jeremy, Jeffery and Julie Cheatum and Justina Folsom; five great-grandchildren Jacob and Lucas Cheatum and Michael, Laken and Connor Folsom; and several nieces and nephews.

   Deloma was a graduate of LaPlata High School. She was employed for more than 25 years at the Florsheim Shoe Factory in Kirksville, Missouri. Deloma lived most all of her life in the LaPlata and Novelty communities.

   Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2007 at the Travis Funeral Chapel in LaPlata, Missouri. Pastor Elmer “Mac” McCully will officiate. Burial was in the Novelty Cemetery, Novelty, MO.
