ALINE WILLIAMS
Jessie Aline ‘Penn’ Williams, of Lewistown, Missouri died Sunday, July 15, 2007, in Hannibal Regional Hospital, Hannibal, Missouri, at 88 years of age.
The daughter of James T. and Carrie E. Mayfield Cutting, Aline was born June 14, 1919, in Quincy, Illinois.
Aline Cutting united in marriage with William Penn. To this union, three children, Kenneth, Eloise and Ruth were born. Aline then united in marriage with Elmer Williams, and he preceded her in death.
A graduate of Monticello High School, Aline was a member of Park United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women’s Group of Lewistown.
For many years she was employed as a telephone operator in the Lewistown Telephone Office, as a clerk in the Western Auto Store in Lewistown, and as a cook with the Lewis County C-1 School District.
Surviving are three children, Kenneth (Sandy) Penn, of Lewistown, Missouri; Mary Eloise Cary of Lewistown, Missouri; and Ruth E. (Terry) Anderson of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Keith and Eric Cary, Chad Penn, Traci Huffman, Craig and Jason Anderson; and seven great grandchildren.
One brother, Kay Cutting; one sister, Sidney White; one granddaughter, Carrie Anderson and one great granddaughter Ellen Cary all preceded her in death.
Graveside services officiated by the Reverend Eloise Marx were conducted in the Lewistown Cemetery, Lewistown, Missouri, on Sunday, July 22, 2007.
