Lady Hawks Picked To Finish First In GLVC Women’s Soccer Pre-Season Poll

(Quincy, Ill.) The Quincy University women’s soccer team has been selected to finish in first place in the 2007 Great Lakes Valley Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. Quincy won their first ever GLVC regular season championship in 2006, going 16-5 overall and 11-2 in the GLVC, advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1995.

Quincy received 168 total points, including 12 of 14 first-place votes. Following the Lady Hawks in the poll are Indianapolis, SIU-Edwardsville, Northern Kentucky, Bellarmine, Wisconsin-Parkside, Missouri-St. Louis, Rockhurst, Drury, Lewis, Southern Indiana, Missouri-Rolla, Saint Joseph’s and Kentucky Wesleyan.
