Traffic change to new Northbound Lanes on Route 61 in Clark County this Week

HANNIBAL – Pending good weather, MoDOT and its contractor, Chester Bross Construction Company, plan to change traffic to the new northbound lanes of Route 61 just south of Wayland on Friday, September 28.  Immediately following this opening, construction crews will close the old lanes of Route 61 for rehabilitation, which will be the future southbound lanes.

Two-way traffic will remain on the new lanes until the work has been completed in 2008.  Changeable message signs will be placed in the area prior to the closing to make motorists aware of this change.
