Ralph L. White, Jr., 61, of Kahoka, Missouri, died Monday, October 29, 2007, at his sister’s home in Kahoka, Missouri.
He was born August 13, 1946 in Burlington, IA, the son of Ralph Leroy and Eva Jean Allen White.
Mr. White was a truck driver who also owned and operated White’s Automotive. He had a love for cars and working on them. He also enjoyed playing on the computer. Ralph was a veteran with the United States Army and proudly served during the Vietnam Conflict.
He is survived by four sons, Ralph LeRoy White III and his wife Melissa of Keokuk, IA, Matthew Wayne White and his wife Joyce of Kahoka, MO, James Edward White and wife Tina of Kahoka, MO, Christopher White of Cedar Rapids, IA, , and one daughter Tracy Lynette Sackman of Cedar Rapids, IA, three brothers, Bill White and wife Linda of Argyle, IA, Terry L. White and companion Carla of Wayland, MO, Kevin White and his wife Teresa of Independence, MO four sisters, Rebecca Woodside of Carthage, IL, Melissa Axtell and husband Mike of Wayland, MO, Kitty Davis and husband Steve of Kahoka, MO, Robin Garlough of Kahoka, MO, fifteen grandchildren, one great grand child due in November and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles White, Richard Allen White, and three grandchildren Dylan and Elizabeth White and Corey Matthew White.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Pastor Wesley Davis officiating. Burial with military rites was in the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa.
Visitation was held after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the family meeting with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
A memorial was been established.
