KC Eagle Football All-District

Seniors Zach Parrish and Ethan Hustead were named to the 2007 NEMO Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association Class 1 all district football first team. Parrish set a new single season school record with 1840 rushing yards.
Zach Parrish was second in tackles for the Knox County defense with 69, and was tabbed to the first team defense at defensive back. Ethan Hustead had 40 total tackles and was named to the first team along the defensive line.
Junior Jacob Moots earned Class 1 second team all district honors. Moots led the Eagles with 104 tackles; one sack and two fumble recoveries. He was picked to the second team defense at linebacker. Jacob Moots was also named to the second team offensive line.
Junior Dennis Dent was named to the Class 1 all district defensive line. Dent was fourth on the Eagle defense with 45 tackles. He also had three interceptions and a touchdown playing defensive back.
Knox County finished with a 5-5 overall record, tied for third in the conference at 4-3. All four KCHS all district honorees were previously selected to the 2007 All Tri-Rivers Conference football team. The complete 2007 all district football list is posted on the Internet at www.nemonews.net
