Lady Indians Take Third Place

The Clark County Lady Indians took on the host, Lady Cougars for third place on Friday, January 4, at the 63rd Highland Tournament.
In the opening quarter the Lady Cougars put in nine points and the Lady Indians’ Daryle Goldie added all of Clark’s nine points, and the opening quarter was tied.
The second quarter saw Goldie add another seven, Amanda Winters added 6, to lead the Lady Indians to a 21-9 quarter to lead at halftime, 30-18.
The third quarter saw Kassidy Shuman add six points of the Lady Indians 10 third quarter points, and took the quarter 10-9, and led 40-27 after three quarters.
Goldie took over again in the final quarter with 7 points, and the Lady Indians took the third place trophy with a 54-33 victory over the Highland Lady Cougars.
The Lady Indians were led by Daryle Goldie with a season high 23 points, followed by Kassidy Shuman with 10, Amanda Winters added 9, Brittany Logsdon and Megan Wilson each added 4, and Brittany Bertelli and Brooke Wheeler had 2 each.
The Lady Indians are now 5-5 on the season. Their next game will be Friday, January 11 at home against the Brookfield Lady Bulldogs.
