Lady Indians 2-0 In Tri Rivers Conference

The Lady Indians hosted the Brookfield Lady Bulldogs on Friday evening January 11, coming in with a perfect Conference record.
In the opening quarter the Lady Dogs took the quarter 8-7. Amanda Winters was the Lady Indian in the opening quarter, as she had all Clarks’ 7 points.
In the second quarter Daryle Goldie led the way for the Lady Indians with 5, and Amanda added another 4, Britni Bertelli also added 4, and the host team took the second 15-9, to lead 22-17 at halftime.
In the third quarter here came Amanda again scoring 6 points, Kassidy Shuman added 4, and the Lady Indians outscored Brookfield 10-4, to hold a 32-21 lead after three quarters.
The fourth and final quarter proved no different for the Lady Dogs, as the night belonged to Amanda Winters. She added another 6 points to the scoreboard, Megan Wilson added 3, and Clark added another 16 points to the board, and left the court 2-0 in Tri-River Conference play, with a 45-32 win over the Lady Bulldogs.
The Lady Indians were led in scoring (9 points short of Brookfield’s total score) by Amanda Winters, with a season high 23 points, followed by Kassidy Shuman with 8, Britni Bertelli followed with 6, Daryle Goldie added 5, Megan Wilson had 3, and Brittany Logsdon had 2.
The Lady Indians are now 6-5 on the season and 2-0 in Conference play. They play in the Palmyra Tournament the week of January 14-19.
Clark County opens play against Bowling Green on Monday afternoon, then will play at either 4:30 or 7:30 (if they win) on Wednesday.
