Lady Indians Take Third Place

The Clark County Lady Indians battled the Highland Lady Cougars for third place in the Palmyra Tournament, after losing to Palmyra by one point in the semi finals.
In the opening quarter the Lady Indians came out behind Daryle Goldie and Amanda Winters, with 4 points each, and Clark County took the quarter 14-5.
The second quarter saw Kassidy Shuman add 5 points, Brittany Logsdon added a three as five Lady Indians scored, and the Lady Indians outscored the Lady Cougars, 14-6, to take a halftime lead of 28-11.
The third quarter saw Brittany Logsdon add another 3 points, and a basket for 5 points. Amanda Winters added another 4, but Highland outscored Clark, 16-13, but the Lady Indians led after three quarters, 41-27, behind Winter’s 10 points.
Daryle Goldie added 7 points in the final quarter, along with Winter’s 6, and Shuman’s 4, to carry the Lady Indians to a victory of 58-38, for third place.
The Lady Indians were led in scoring by Kassidy Shuman with 15 points, followed by Daryle Goldie with 13, and Amanda Winters with 14. Brittany Logsdon added 8 points, Brenna Buford had 4, and Brittni Bertelli and Megan Wilson had 2 each.
The Lady Indians move to 8-6 on the season, and will host the Putnam County Lady Midgets on Tuesday, January 22, in what could be the Tri-Rivers Conference Championship, as both are undefeated.
