JV Indians Get Win

The Clark County JV Indians took on the Davis County Mustangs in Kahoka on Monday, January 28. In the opening quarter Ryan Whiston took the ball for the Indians and put in eight points, and the Indians took the quarter 14-12.
The second quarter the team went flat and Davis County took control of the game and put it to the Indians, 17-6, and led 29-20 at halftime. In the locker room Coach Kirchner said the magic word, whatever it was, and the Indians came out and turned the tables on Davis County, as five Indians hit the scoring and outscored the Mustangs 14-4, to take a 34-33 lead going into the final quarter.
Jacob McAfee took over for the Indians and scored all of his seven points in the fourth quarter, and the Indians made a second half comeback, 27-12, to take the victory, 47-41.
Leading the Indians in scoring was Ryan Whiston with 17 points, followed by Dakota Armstrong with eight, Jacob McAfee added seven, Justin Alderton had six, and Justin Oilar added five, while Zack Alderton and Neal Moon had two each.
