The Clark county Indians were trying to follow the girls by trying to remain undefeated in the Conference on the road, taking on the Milan Wildcats. The Milan boys were no pushover for the Indians. The Indians took the opening quarter 13-10. Milan held in the second quarter, and they told the Indians they’re going to make a game of it, as they played the Indians to a 17-15 quarter, and Clark led at halftime, 30-25.
In the third quarter the Indians could not put them away, as Clark outscored Milan 15-12, to lead 45-37. Going into the final quarter, the Indians did what they had to do, which was to outscore the Wildcats again. They did, 19-14, to leave with a 64-51 victory to clinch at least a tie for the Conference Championship, but they can win the title outright with a victory at home Tuesday against North Shelby.
Michael Brennan led the Indians with 24 points, followed by Colt Sommers with 11, Ethan Allen added nine points, Bryan Plenge had eight, Javis Vineyard added six, Scott McAfee had five, and Lynn Williams had one.
