   Charles David “Dave” Bone, 85, of Belle Vista, Arkansas died Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Arkansas.  He was born on April 27, 1922, in Knox County, Missouri to Rob W. Bone and Nellie McReynolds Bone.

   He was raised and educated in LaBelle, MO.  He served in the US Army in both the European and Pacific Theaters of World War II.  He attended Kansas City Business College and U.M.K.C.  Dave married Lois Humphreys on November 1, 1946 at Kansas City, Kansas.  He began working as a salesman for Armour Foods in 1946 and retired as Vice President in 1984.  They moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 1994.  He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista.  He was a member of Moila Shrine in St. Joseph, MO.  Dave was an avid golfer and enjoyed wood working.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Bill Bone.

   He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lois Bone of Bella Vista, AR; one son, Michael Bone and wife, Lucia of Double Oak, Texas; one daughter, Melissa Watson of Bella Vista, AR; three sisters, Mary Jo Hamilton of LaBelle, MO, Phyllis Walker of LaBelle, MO, Roberta Fishback and husband, James M. of Monroe City, MO; three grandchildren, Matthew Bone, Mark Bone, Stacy Rapp and one great-grandson, Brandon Bone.

   A funeral service was held on Monday, February 11, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church, Bela Vista, with Reverend David Fleming and Reverend Wayne Bartruff officiating.  Burial was in the Bella Vista Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorial Processing Center, PO Box 1653, Topeka, Kansas 66601-1653.
