1924 – 2008

 

     Virginia Moore, 83, of Kahoka, MO, died Sunday, March 9, 2008 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital in Ft. Madison, IA.

     She was born on October 25, 1924 in Kahoka, MO, the daughter of Augustus Dallas and Nancy McMillan Moore.

     She had been employed at Shaffer Pen in Ft. Madison for several years.  She also had been a caretaker for many individuals for over twenty years.

     Family and friends were very important to Virginia.  She loved to keep in touch with them by sending them cards and letters.

     She is survived by two nephews, Charles Kious and his wife Laverne of Ft. Madison, IA, and Bob Kious and his wife Mary of Lansing, IA, one niece, Pat Kious and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

     She was preceded in death by two sisters, Genevieve Kious and Alice Heinze and one nephew, Cecil Kious.

     Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Reverend Kenneth Beckmann officiating.  Burial will be in the Kahoka Cemetery.

     Visitation will be held on Friday from noon until time of service with the family meeting with friends at that time.

     Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
