Orscheln Farm & Home Accepting Scrap Batteries
Orscheln Farm & Home is helping clean up the environment by collecting scrap batteries on March 29th and 30th. Scrap batteries are returned to a state of the art recycling facility where 100% of the battery is recycled. Customers can bring any brand auto, marine, farm, truck or lawn & garden batteries in for recycling.
This is not a new program for Orscheln as the company has always recycled batteries when exchanged with a new battery purchase. However, it is the first time the company has offered to take junk batteries back without the purchase of a new battery. As an incentive, Orscheln is offering a $5 gift card for each battery customers bring in without a limit (must bring in 2 lawn & garden batteries to get the $5 gift card). Orscheln automotive buyer, Dwaine Skopec, states “we expect huge numbers of batteries to be returned this weekend and we are happy to be providing this service to the communities where our stores are located.”
The battery exchange is available at all of Orscheln’s 149 locations in 9 states (Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma) on March 29 and 30. To find a location near you go to www.orschelnfarmhome.com
