Spring Rain Continues To Wash Out Contests

Northeast Missouri teams saw more sporting events called off due to inclement weather. Brashear defeated Green City 19-2 during Monday, April 7 baseball action. Monday was about the only reasonably fit day to play last week.
The Jerry Ball Relays track meet was cancelled and will not be rescheduled. Brashear baseball games with North Shelby and Atlanta were cancelled due to inclement weather. The Kirksville Invitational Track Meet was postponed and has been rescheduled for Monday, April 14.
Knox County has withdrawn from the Kirksville Invitational due to having three scheduled track meets this week. The Eagles are slated to travel to the Paris Relays on April 15.
Brashear and Knox County are scheduled to run in the Green City Relays on April 16. Knox County is scheduled to take part in the Canton Relays on Friday, April 18.
The 2008 Knox County varsity baseball tournament was cancelled and will not be rescheduled. Knox County scheduled a home game with Schuyler County on Monday, April 14.
Brashear High School announced they will make up an earlier rain out on Friday, April 25 when they will hold a varsity doubleheader at Novinger.
The rescheduled Knox County doubleheader with Milan was washed out by heavy rains the previous evening.
One of the Milan at Knox County games is a Tri-Rivers Conference affair. No reschedule date had been announced at press time.
South Shelby is scheduled to travel to Knox County (4-0) and Milan (2-0) goes to Brashear (1-1) for non-conference varsity baseball action on Tuesday, April 15.
Knox County has a tough non-conference baseball game slated for Thursday, April 17 at Canton with a 5PM first pitch. Knox County is slated to host the Knox County Middle School Relays on April 17. The Highland Junior High Relays track meet is scheduled for Friday, April 18.
