Donna Faye (Hagar) Lindley, age 67, of Macon, Missouri, died Tuesday (June 3, 2008) at the Macon Health Care Center in Macon, Missouri.
Born May 25, 1941 in Cherry Box, Missouri she was the daughter of William Jasper and Rose Maxine (McEwen) Perry. On June 6, 1959 in LaPlata, Missouri she married Roy Hagar, who preceded her in death on November 30, 1986. In October 1990, in Macon, Missouri, she married Jerry Lindley, who survives.
Also surviving is her mother, Maxine Perry, of LaPlata, Missouri; three sons, Jim Hagar and wife, Melody of LaPlata, Missouri, John Hagar of Edina, Missouri and Jeff Hagar and wife, Sherry of Kirksville, Missouri; one step-son, Carl Hagar of Camdenton, Missouri; one daughter, Susan Slaughter and husband, Steve of LaPlata, Missouri; four step-daughters, Teresa Hagar of East Patterson, New Jersey, Ellen Sapp of Columbia, Missouri, Melinda Morris of the state of Louisiana and Penny Rice of Atlanta, Missouri; two brothers, Ernest Perry of Kearney, Missouri and Trent Perry of LaPlata, Missouri; one sister, Virginia Perry and husband, Junior of LaPlata, Missouri; twenty-one grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, two sons, Joseph Richard Hagar and Jasper Ray Hagar and one brother, Billy Perry.
Donna was a 1959 graduate of Novelty High School. She resided in LaPlata for many years before moving to Macon in 1990. She was a member of the LaPlata Baptist Church. Donna enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading, and especially her grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday (June 6, 2008) at the LaPlata Baptist Church in LaPlata, Missouri. Officiating the service was Pastor Elmer “Mac” McCully.
Burial was in the LaPlata Cemetery, LaPlata, Missouri.
