JAMES W. SHARP

James W. Sharp, 75, of Overland Park, Kansas, died Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service was held Saturday February 2, 2008 in the Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home in Kansas City, Missouri. His ashes were dispersed at his wishes.
James was born May 4, 1932, in Edina, MO, the son of Wilber Taylor and Helen Carolyn (Ely) Sharp.
He is survived by his wife Janet (Arnold) Sharp of the home; a son, David Sharp of St. Louis, MO; a daughter, Susan and husband Greg Logan of Ft. Worth, Texas; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Erin, and a sister- Mary Margaret O’Rourke and husband Larry of Crowley, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dorothy Helen.
Jim attended the Edina Public School, graduating in the class of 1950. While in school he was very active in sports, band, and chorus. He was also part of a men’s quartet for many years, singing at different functions. He was a master of ceremonies at numerous reunions and was always the jokester.
Until retirement he was employed by Armco Steel Company as a District Sales Manager.
He liked to fish, and golf- but especially hunt with his beloved hunting companion Brandi.
He was a 32 degree Mason.
