CLARABEL CLAPP ODOM

Clarabel Clapp Odom, age 86, died in October 2007 in San Dimas, California. She was born in 1919 on the Clapp farm near LaBelle, Missouri, the eldest child born to Austin and Ina Clapp. Her siblings included her brother, Harold and her sisters, Lola and Jenella.
She graduated from LaBelle High School, attended Kirksville Teachers College, and taught school one year previous to her marriage to Thomas Odom, D.O., who preceded her in death in 2004.
She moved with her husband to Red Lodge, Montana where she lived until 1946. She, her husband and daughter, Nancy, then moved to Tucson, Arizona. Mrs. Odom was active in the Osteopathic Hospital Auxiliary and the Daughters of American Colonies on a local and state level of those organizations. In 2000, she moved to California to be near her daughter.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the Deer Ridge Cemetery, north of LaBelle, Missouri, with Reverend Doug Mahsmann officiating.
Services are under the direction of the Coder Funeral Chapel, LaBelle, Missouri.
