HANNIBAL – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, a six-member bipartisan board that governs the Missouri Department of Transportation, will meet this week in MoDOT’s Northeast District for the first time in more than 15 years. The open session of the meeting will begin on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Culver Stockton College’s Alexander Campbell Auditorium in Canton, and the public is invited.
Presentations by the Tri-State Development Summit and the Hannibal Chamber of Commerce are expected to seek support for a Hannibal Bypass, as well as express appreciation for the recent completion of the Avenue of the Saints and other significant projects in northeast Missouri.
The MHTC meets each month in different locations throughout Missouri. More information about the Commission is available online at www.modot.org.
