Ronald Lee Kurk, age 67, of Quincy, Illinois, died Monday, September 8, 2008, in Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Born August 9, 1941 in Quincy, he was the son of Everett and Alvessa Preston Kurk.
He married Judy Carper on June 9, 1962, in the First Christian Church in LaBelle, and she survives.
Ronald was a graduate of LaBelle High School and past member of both Steffenville, MO, and Mesa, Arizona, Christian Churches. He was an industrial salesman for 32 years and semi-retired from Abbott Supply in 2007.
Ron loved his cats, playing golf, shooting pool, travel, going to the races and trips to the casino. He especially enjoyed his home that he, his wife, and father built.
He is survived by his father of LaBelle; a sister Shirley and her husband Glenn Adams of Carthage, Tennessee; a sister Brenda Preston-Kurk of Scottsdale, AZ; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, special friends including Gary (Butch) Patrick and many others who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services were scheduled for Thursday, September 11, 2008 in the Coder Funeral Chapel with Pastor Joe Jorgensen officiating. Burial was in the LaBelle, MO, Cemetery.
