RAY EDWARD PROSSER
Ray Edward Prosser, Jr., 76, of Mexico, MO died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at his home.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday at Arnold Funeral Home with Robin Thompson officiating. Burial was in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Ray was born September 7, 1931 in Novelty, MO, the son of Ray Edward and Grace (Ballinger) Prosser Sr.
On April 19, 1952 in Shelbyville, MO, he married Lois Virginia Hawkins. She survives of the home.
Mr. Prosser was a member of Southside Christian Church. He served in the Marines during the Korean War, worked at A.P. Green’s for over 40 years and was a member of the Masonic Lodge for many years.
In addition to his wife, Virginia, he is survived by two sons, Ernest E. Prosser of Fulton, MO and Lloyd R. (Mary Lindsey) Prosser of Bowling Green, MO; three grandchildren, Adam Prosser of Columbia, MO, Brandon Prosser of Wellsville, MO and Maradith Prosser of Columbia, MO; one sister, Vesta Dent of Kahoka, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to Missouri River Hospice or Southside Christian Church.
