Mary E. Egley, 64, of Kahoka, Missouri, died Friday, December 5, 2008 at her home.

She was born September 22, 1944 in Keokuk, Iowa the daughter of Wallace and Madeline Bir Bryant.

In August 1970 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Carl Egley in Quincy, IL. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2006.
Mary graduated from Kahoka High School with the class of 1963.

She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Kahoka.
She was working at Dadant as a supervisor for over twenty years.
Mary loved to read, go shopping, doing crafts, arranging flowers and being in her flower garden. Most of all she loved being with her family and her dog, Buddy.

She is survived by her mother, Madeline Bryant of Alexandria, MO, sister, Connie and Dwayne Bonser of Keokuk, IA, brother, Wallace Bryant, Jr. of Alexandria, MO, half brother, Rodney Bryant of Keokuk, IA, sister in law, Janet Haage and her husband Delbert of Keokuk, IA, two brothers in law, Pete Egley of Keokuk, IA, and Robert Egley and his wife Barbara of St. Francisville, MO, nieces and nephews, Tricia Cannon, Barbara Briggs, Peggy Tweedy, Ron Bryant, Ed Haage, Roger Egley, Pete Egley, Jr., Bob Egley and Todd Egley and her dog, Buddy.

She was also preceded in death by her father Wallace Bryant.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Monday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Father Paul Hartley officiating. Burial was in the Frazee Cemetery in rural Alexandria, MO.

Visitation was held after 1 p.m. Sunday with the family meeting with friends from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials were made to the Hancock County Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
