DAVID LEON PARTON

David Leon Parton, age 60, of Edina, Missouri, died Thursday, December 18, 2008, at his residence in Edina, Missouri.
He was born June 3, 1948, at Kirksville, Missouri, the son of Richard and Betty Baker Parton.
On April 12, 1997 at Independence, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Mary Loft.
Surviving are his wife Mary Parton of Edina, Missouri, his parents, Richard and Betty Parton of Edina, Missouri, three children, Robin McCormick and husband Danny of Wagner, South Carolina, Phillip Parton of Santa Fe, Texas, and Nicole Walker and husband Derrick of Kansas City, Missouri, two step children, Reid Yardley and wife Becky of Kirksville, Missouri, and Karla Abney and husband Terry of Nebo, Illinois, two brothers, Darrell Parton and wife Sharon of Troy, Illinois, Rick Parton and wife Janie of Memphis, Missouri, a sister, Bonnie Rowland and husband Vance of Hurdland, Missouri, thirteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild, nieces, nephews and cousins.
David received his education in Hurdland and Edina Schools. He was engaged in construction in Kirksville and Warsaw, Missouri till he was disabled in 1980.
David enjoyed motorcycles, leather work, playing the harmonica, and spending time with family and friends.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2008, at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri. Pastor Jason Geisendorfer will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Clarence Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
