 Brashear Wins First Round Match Over Scotland County

Brashear exploded to a 22-5 first quarter lead and cruised to a 66-35 win over Scotland County (2-12) in January 19, North Shelby Tournament first round boys’ play.

Brashear (11-0, ranked eighth in Missouri Boys’ Class 1) took a 39-20 half time lead and never looked back.

Ryan Ferdig paced the scoring column with 16 Brashear points. The Adair County Tigers shot 78% from the free throw line (7-9) compared to 7-13 (54%) for the Tri-Rivers Conference Tigers. Brandon Garnett led Scotland County with 14 points.

Trae Treasure scored 12 points. Anthony Ambrosia tossed in 11 points and Matt Thomas and Justin Hazen were in double figures with 10 points each.

Kiley Watson scored four BHS points. Jay Scudder scored two points and Cody Snelling added one Brashear point.
