Bobcats Too Much For Lady Indians
Bobcats Too Much For Lady Indians
The Clark County Lady Indians were overmatched by a quick and tall Bowling Green Bobcat team in the opening round of the Tony Lenzini Tournament in Palmyra on Tuesday afternoon.
Bowling Green had control of the game from the beginning, using that height and quickness to force turnovers, and the Lady Indians quickly found themselves trailing 22-10 after the first quarter. Cady Flood had a bucket and four free-throws in the quarter, and Brooke Wheeler added a pair of scores.
The second quarter was, unfortunately, more of the same, as the Bobcats pulled away to a 38-20 halftime lead. Cady Flood had six more points, giving her 12 at the intermission. Brooke Wheeler and Britni Bertelli each had a single basket in the quarter.
The second half was all Bobcats, as Clark County could only score 12 more points in the game. Cady Flood added six more points in the second half, finishing the game with a team-leading 18. Megan Brennan, Britni Bertelli and Kayla Buschling each added a basket in the effort, but Bowling Green was too much for the Lady Indians, winning 66-32.
