 Indians Win, Ladies Fall At Putnam

Michael Brennan scored 27 to lead the Indians to victory on the road at Putnam County on Tuesday, January 27. Brennan scored 10 of the team’s 19 first-quarter points. ?The Indians held a 19-8 margin after the first period.

Putnam County turned the tables in the second, outscoring the Indians 20-10 to trail 29-28 at the half.

The Indians took control of the game in the third quarter, opening a nine point lead on their way to a win.

Justin Oilar turned in good performance on the evening, scoring 13 points to help the Indians down the Midget by a 58-48 margin.
Michael Brennan had 27 points, followed by Justin Oilar’s 13. Bryan Plenge added nine more. Dakota Armstrong had three, and Ethan Allen and Justin Alderton each had two on the night.

Clark County Lady Indians fell behind in the first quarter 12-7. They played even with the Lady Midgets in the second period, and trailed 24-19 at the half.

Both teams scored well in the third, but Putnam was able to increase its lead to 43-34.
The Lady Indians owned the final quarter, holding Putnam to only four points, but it was too late, and Clark County fell 47-43.

Brooke Wheeler led the Lady Indians with 13 points. Cady Flood scored seven, and Megan Brennan, Caitlyn Davis and Leighann Moulder each scored six. Britni Bertelli had three, and Chelsea Edmondson had two points.
