31st TSBA Winter Bluegrass Festival

31st TSBA Winter Bluegrass Festival
FEBRUARY 20-21, 2009

This annual event produced by the Tri-State Bluegrass Association will once again be held at the Hannibal Inn on Hwy 61-South, Hannibal, MO.

This winter, Bluegrass Festival has always been a favorite with bluegrass fans and this 31st annual festival has a talented line-up that will please everyone. On the program for this year will be DAVID DAVIS AND THE WARRIOR RIVER BOYS from Alabama, THE BLUE & GRAY PICKERS, THE MARTINS, MIDNIGHT FLIGHT and THE SALLY MOUNTAIN SHOW.

Carrying on an Alabama family tradition, David Davis and the Warrior River Boys offer audiences a program full of good old traditional bluegrass. David’s mandolin is one of the finest anywhere on the Bluegrass circuit today! DAVID DAVIS & THE WARRIOR RIVER BOYS will be on hand for two shows on Saturday.
The festival will start on Friday evening at 6:00 pm. and will continue on Saturday with the instrument workshops starting at 11:00 am. Concerts will start on Saturday at 12:00 noon and after the dinner break will begin again at 6:00 pm.

The atmosphere of this festival is an exciting one! It has long been known as the indoor festival with the most music off stage in the form of “jam sessions”. Put this together with the fine stage performances and you have a great festival! As always, there will be a “full house” of vendors displaying their wares for sale with a great variety of merchandise.

Tickets go on sale Friday at noon. Prices are $30 for Weekend Pass, $20 for All Day Saturday, and $15 for either Saturday afternoon or night. Students 12-16 are half price and children 11 and under are free. We ask the jammers who do not purchase a concert ticket to donate $5.00 each to help support the festival.
