Lady Bulldogs Bite Tigers

Bucklin handed the Lady Tigers a 52-45 conference loss in February 17, girl’s action at Brashear. Bucklin outscored the home team 30-24 in the second half after taking a 22-21 halftime lead.
The Lady Tigers (7-14, 2-3) played without forward Emily Ladwig, who was unable to compete due to illness. Bucklin tossed in 21 field goals to 13 for Brashear. The Lady Bulldogs were a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line. Brashear went 10-16 from the charity stripe for 62%.
Macy Rogers scored a game high 19 points with nine rebounds. Shelby Rogers scored eight points with eight rebounds. Sydney Slavin and Stephanie Elsea scored five points each. Elsea stole the ball six times. Abby McKim and Caroline Slavin added four points each.
Brashear was 16-51 from the field for 31%, about the team’s season shooting percentage. The Lady Tigers had 18 turnovers and 13 team steals along with seven assists.
