Tigers Split Conference Meetings At Novinger

Brashear outscored cross county rival Novinger in every quarter and took a 64-33 Tri-County Conference victory. The Wildcats stayed within striking range during the February 20 boy’s match up first half.
Trevor Munday and Aric Luman tossed in first quarter three pointers. Brashear (18-4, 6-0) took the ball to the rack, outscoring their hosts 15-9 during the first quarter. The Tigers sank four of five second period free throws and took a 29-17 lead to intermission.
The Tigers got their inside to outside game going in the third quarter, outscoring the Wildcats 20-12 for a 49-29 margin. Seventeen players dented the scorebook, led by Matt Thomas with 13 Tiger points.
Justin Hazen ten points. Trae Treasure and Anthony Ambrosia scored nine Tiger points each. Kiley Watson and Ryan Ferdig continued balanced Brashear scoring with eight points each.
Cody Snelling finished with three points. Mike McKim and Hayden Coin added two points each. Aric Luman led Novinger with 12 points. Trevor Munday was next for the Wildcats with six points.
Brashear took the JV boys game by a 31-19 final score. Novinger defeated the Lady Tigers (7-15, 2-4) by a 50-42 margin.
