“ANNIE” RUNYON

Anna Lee “Annie” Runyon, age 84, of LaBelle, Missouri died Saturday, March 14, 2009, in Quincy, Illinois.
Born July 9, 1924, in Deer Ridge, Missouri, she was the daughter of Wayne and Ruth Marx Morrow. She married John Runyon on June 7, 1942 in Edina, MO and he survives.
Annie was a graduate of LaBelle High School and a long-time member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post of LaBelle. She worked for many years as a seed analyst at MFA Seed division in LaBelle and then as a receptionist at the LaBelle Clinic until her retirement. She loved being with her family and for many years, she and John spent time boating, camping, and taking the grandchildren on trips. She was actively involved with the Fire Department Auxiliary and for years was a dispatcher for the LaBelle Fire Department.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, John Runyon; one daughter, Linda Florea and husband Chuck of Durham, MO; two grandchildren, Jeremy Florea and wife Stacy of Durham, MO, Heather Clary of Bethel, MO; four great-grandchildren, Ethan and Shane Clary of Bethel, MO, and Autumn and Hunter John Florea of Durham, MO.
Also surviving are one brother Robert “Bob” Morrow and wife Beverly of Gold Canyon, Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Willa Dee Florea of LaBelle, MO, and Verneta Cordis of Port Charlotte, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Tuesday March 17, 2009, at the Coder Funeral Chapel with Pastor Joe Jorgensen officiating.
Burial was in the LaBelle Cemetery.
