EVA FARRIS

Eva Farris, age 91, of Edina, Missouri, died Thursday, March 19, 2009, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
She was born April 25, 1917, at Greensburg, Missouri, the daughter of Carl and Maggie Shultz Neese.
She was united in marriage to Sterling Farris on November 26, 1938, at Greensburg, Missouri and he preceded her in death in November of 1975.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, two great grandsons, Lyle William Lehr and Francis Jim Farris, three brothers, Lyle and Claudie Neese and Gerald in infancy and twin sisters Minnie and Myrtle in infancy.
Surviving are two sons, Gene Farris and wife Noreen of Edina, Missouri, Carl William Farris of Kirksville, Missouri and his wife Rosie of Bloomfield, Iowa and his close friend Lillian Johnson of Kirksville, Missouri, nine grandchildren, Kevin Farris and wife Nancy of South Carolina, Karen Cook and husband Mike of Virginia, Donna Farris of Edina, Missouri, Douglas Farris and wife Keawna of Edina, Missouri, Corenna Farris fiancée Troy Jones of Conesville, Iowa, Carla Lockwood and husband Phillip of Baring, Missouri, Duane Farris and wife Lori of Downing, Missouri, Colette Merrell and husband Steve of Canton, Missouri, and Colleen Klingsmith and husband Cecil of Ottumwa, Iowa, 18 great grandchildren, 21 great great grandchildren, 6 nieces Connie, Sarah, Rita, Rosie, Carolyn and Marilyn, and several cousins.
Eva received her education in rural schools in the Bible Grove area. She was a housewife and homemaker. She volunteered at the Community Action Agency for several years, had been a member of the Greensburg Order of The Eastern Star, and a member of the Bar-B Saddle Club. Eva enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri. Reverend Allen Davidson will officiate the services. Burial will be held at a later date in the Bible Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12 noon till time of services at 2 p.m. on Wednesday March 25, 2009, in the Chapel.
