Dochterman Places 4th at NCAA Outdoor Championship
The 2009 division II NCAA Outdoor Track and field championship event was held May 21-23 at LeGrand Sport Complex in San Angelo, Texas. Truman State University had five athletes who qualified for the event. Shaina Dochterman qualified in the 400 mm hurdles and was ranked 6th in the nation. This was the 3rd National event for Dochterman.
Shaina finished her junior year with a fourth place finish in the 400 MM hurdles. Dochterman ran 1:00.64, and beat out Heidi Dimmit of Western Washington by two-tenths of a second, for her fourth place finish. Merrill from San Diego won the event.
Dochterman is the daughter of Tamra Dochterman of Quincy, IL, and John Dochterman of Kahoka, MO. Grandparents are Jerry and Irene Brunk of Kahoka, and Melvin an Ella Mae Dochterman of Williamstown, MO.
