FRANCILLE M. KILBRIDE

Francille M. Kilbride, 91, of Burlington died Friday, June 11, 2010 at Great River Hospice House, West Burlington, IA.

Francille was born February 23, 1919, the daughter of Charlie and Mary Kiesow Baker in Millport, MO. She Married Francis Pearl Kilbride on Octobrer 14, 1940 in Brashear, MO.

Francille retired from the Burlington Basket Company as a picnic foreman in 1983. She was a member of the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales, the Buy,Sell & Trade at S.C.C., making comforters for her kids and grandkids and taking care of her chickens. She was also an avid euchre player.

She is survived by two daughters, Arlene (Harold) Blaise of Ft. Madison, IA and Mildred Shrape (Harold) Wood of LaBelle, MO; four sons, Howard Kilbride of Burlington, IA, LaVerne (Julie) Kilbride of Mediapolis, IA, Jerry (Joanne) Kilbride of Morning Sun, IA and Terry (Robbie) Kilbride of Mediapolis, IA; 23 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; cousin, Josephine Strange of Knox City, MO; brother-in-law, Robert Kilbride; 3 sisters-in-law, Margaret Mahaffey, Lenora Humphrey and Verna Marie Hamlin; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister, 3 grandchildren and 1 son-in-law.

Funeral services for Francille Mildred Kilbride were Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Prough’s Chapel. Rev. Beth Briggs officiated. Interment was in IOOF Cemetery, Hurdland, MO.

Memorials have been established for Great River Hospice House, West Burlington, Iowa and Prairie Ridge Care & Rehab, Mediapolis, Iowa.
