John Woodrow Sykes age 91 of Hurdland died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at the LaPlata Nursing home in LaPlata, MO. Woodrow was born at home in Macon County, MO on September 1, 1918, the son of Lee and Mary Anne Shepard Sykes. On December 21, 1941, in LaPlata, he married Anna Lea Hatfield of Sue City.
