THOMAS KRIEGSHAUSER

Thomas N. Kriegshauser, died at his home on August 15, 2010. Tom was born December 23, 1934 to Marguerite and Norbert Kriegshauser in Edina, Missouri, the youngest of five children.


He graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School in 1953 and moved to Denver, Colorado where he started his career working for Western Electric. After serving three years in the United States Army, he worked for Mountain Bell in Longmont, Denver, Craig and Grand Junction areas.


He retired in 1984 and was a field service technician for Brandt, Inc. until his full retirement in 1996. He volunteered for Gray Gourmet and Golden West Council Telephone Pioneers. He was a member of the Catholic Church and a Third Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus in Craig, CO.


He and Martha L. Klote were married on October 27, 1956. She preceded him in death August 14, 1996. To them were born four children: Susan Feely, Andrew Kriegshauser (Sharena), Gary Kriegshauser (Rochelle), and Sharon Huffman (Chris), eight grandchildren: Michael Cromer, Nicole Walton (Jesse), Caleb Kriegshauser (Alura), Dustin Kriegshauser (Chelsea), Jessica Kriegshauser, Adam Kriegshauser, Martha Huffman and Reba Huffman and three great-grandchildren survive.


He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Louise House and Monica Morgret two brothers, Robert and Raymond Kriegshauser and one grandson.


He and Jean Klote were married April 17, 1998 and he was adopted by her four children: Barb Logan (Mike), Cindy Fudman (Dr. Edward), Mark Schlepphorst (Cheryl Peters), and Kathy Schlepphorst (Jim Barton), along with six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.


A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on October 16, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, Missouri. Father Joseph Hoi officiated the service. Burial was in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Music was provided by Brent Karhoff, soloist and Nancy Reardon, organist.


Services were under the direction of the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.
