JAUNITA M. CRAIG

Jaunita Myrle Hickman Craig (95) died May 8, 2011 at the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, MO.

She was born April 29, 1916 to Elgin and Lorana Chapman Hickman in Ridgeway, MO. She graduated from Ridgeway High School. On October 20, 1934 she married Kenneth Craig. To this union three children were born, Zelda, Darrel Dewayne and Dwight Rogene. She lived all her life in Harrison County except for seven winters spent in Texas due to Kenneth’s failing health and the last three years she spent in the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, MO.

She is a member of the First Christian Church in Bethany.

She is survived by her children, Zelda Gilbert and friend Larry Arnold of Edina, MO, Dewayne and wife Carolyn of Chandler, AZ, and Rogene of Grandview, Mo; 9 granddaughters, 22 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, 1 foster granddaughter, 1 foster grandson and 2 foster great grandsons; 3 sisters, Dorothy Roberts of Bethany, Thelma Harrold of Grandview and Deloris Damewood of Milan, MO; 1 sister-in-law, Imohal and Don Hadlock.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 1 sister, 2 brothers, a son-in-law, 1 grandson, 1 great grandson and a dear friend Alva Parsons.

Services were May 16, 2011 at Bethany Memorial Chapel, Bethany, MO

Memorials are suggested to the Knox County Nursing Home or First Christian Church in Bethany.
