Margaret M. Mudd, 91, of Keokuk, Iowa, died May 15, 2011 at Keokuk Area Hospital.

She was born on March 26, 1920, in Hurdland, MO, the daughter of Charles and Stella Sadler Walker. The family moved to Kirksville, MO, where she attended the public schools, graduating from Kirksville Senior High in 1937. she attended collage for a short time, and was employed at the St. Louis Faith Hospital admitting office. She returned to Kirksville, where she was employed as a secretary to Dr. Paul E. Hilton, at the Grim-Smith Hospital.

On September 13, 1958, Margaret married James J. Mudd in Lancaster, MO. In 1964, Margaret and James moved to Keokuk, where she was employed by Hoerner Boxes until her retirement in 1984.

Margaret was a past matron of Kirksville Chapter #184, Order of the Eastern Star. She and James were members of First Baptist Church in Keokuk.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, parents and several cousins.

Graveside services and Inurnment were held at the Catholic Cemetery in Edina, Missouri May 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dale Thomas officiated.
