Knox County Eagles Announce Assistant Coaching Hires

Knox County R-I high school principal Rick Johnson has announced the districts’ roster of varsity assistant coaches. First year head basketball coaches Ron Lebel and Zach Summers will assist in baseball and football respectively.
Recently retired US Army officer and former Knox County football and basketball standout Keith Gudehus joins headman Zach Summers on the hardwood bench.
Second year head varsity football coach Alex VanDelft will be assisted by Bruce Vannoy, Zach Summers and Vic Schroeder. Vannoy and Schroeder are returnees.
Vic Schroeder led the Eagle middle school football team last season and was a volunteer varsity football assistant in 2010.
Lisa Clark will assist Head softball coach Marcie Stansberry. Both Lady Eagle varsity coaches will enter their second year at Knox County.
The Lady Eagles won 12 games last season, along with their first Knox County Tournament title since 2002
Veteran high school girl’s assistant coach Roger Parton will return to the Lady Eagle bench along side first year head coach Ron Lebel.
Bruce Vannoy will return as varsity assistant track and field coach with head track coach Alex VanDelft.
Knox County’s experienced varsity baseball coaches will enter their first seasons at Knox County. Ron Lebel will assist Head coach Mike O’Haver.
