WILMA A. WILSON



Wilma Ann Mauck, Bone, Stolberg, Wilson, age 81 of Independence, Missouri died at home with family on September 30, 2011 from complications after surgery.


Mrs. Wilson was born June 7, 1930, in Edina, (Knox County) Missouri. She attended schools in Newark and LaBelle, Missouri, graduated from LaBelle High School in 1948. She lived and worked in the Hannibal, Missouri area during 1954 through 1976, employed by Carstarphen, Harvey and Wasinger, Missouri Crippled Children’s Service and Levering Hospital. She transferred to the Kansas City area in 1976, with the Missouri Department of Mental Health, retiring from Kansas City Power and Light in the 90’s.


She was preceded in death by her parents, William Richard Mauck and Clara E. (Strock) Mauck; two sisters, Lorene C. Mauck and Clela M. McSorley.


She is survived by her three sons, William Richard Bone, Independence, MO, Robert E. Bone and wife, Helen, Foristell, Missouri, and Martin L. Bone, Independence, MO; 6 grandchildren, Debbra Ann and Richard, Stephanie, Marcie, Robert and Wilma (Nettie) Bone, and 3 great-grandchildren, Hunter, Danike and Carson; a nephew, Wilbur McSorley; two nieces, Barbara Powell and Margaret Miller.


She enjoyed reading, writing, needlework, music and light gardening.


She was married from 1949 to 1959 to Billy Mack Bone, from 1966 to 1968 to Leroy Stolberg and from 1971 through 1979 to Robert E. Wilson.


No flowers please, she was a star of stage, screen and radio (in her mind only). Her only passion was her family. Please plant a tree in lieu of flowers. Thanks. Plant a tree. Cremation to be handled by New Salem Funeral Home in Independence, Missouri, with ashes to be scattered per wishes. Private interment at Newark Cemetery at a later date.
