MADELINE DALLMEYER



Mrs. Madeline Miller Dallmeyer, age 91 years, a former Jefferson City resident, currently living at the Kingswood Senior Living Community in Kansas City, Mo., died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice after a brief illness.


Madeline was born December 7, 1919 in Edina, Mo. the daughter of David R. and Minerva Wingerter Miller. She was married on July 3, 1947 to Maurice A. Dallmeyer who preceded her in death on April 21, 2000 at the age of 83. The Dallmeyer’s lived their entire married years in Jefferson City.


Many benefited from Madeline’s philanthropic commitment and energy. Organization affiliations include: the First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City; P.E.O.; Tuesday Club; the Missouri State Historical Society; and the Jefferson City Police Board.


Busy as she was with family, civic and political work, she was employed by the Missouri State Senate for nearly twenty-five years. Madeline was an avid Republican.


She is survived by: her two daughters and sons-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Poole Phillips, M.D. (Susan) and Dr. and Mrs. Russell Edward Tackett, M.D.(Terry) both of Kansas City, Mo; one sister-in-law, Adeline Reichard of Jefferson City, Mo.; and four grandchildren, Thomas Poole Phillips, Jr., M.D., Brooke Phillips Ryan, Madeline Paige Tackett, and Caroline Blair Tackett.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, David L. Miller.


Private family services will be conducted at a later date.


Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society of Jefferson City, Mo. or Kansas City Hospice.


The family wishes to give thanks to Kansas City Hospice for their professional and loving care in her last days. A special gratitude to Vicki, her hospice nurse.
