Carroll Hoffman, age 76, of Shelbyville, MO, died Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at approximately 2:10 pm at her home.

She was born August 10, 1935, in Edina, MO, the daughter of Patrick Leo and Viola Marguerite Stutsman Rourke. On April 24, 1955, she was united in marriage to Joe Daniel. She later married Bruce Hoffman and he preceded her in death on July 17, 2006.

Carroll is survived by her mother, Viola Parish of Edina, MO; four children, Mike Daniel and wife Lesley of Leonard, MO, Nena Myers and husband Bob of Bethel, MO, Nancy Gander and husband Rodney of Shelbyville, MO and Tom Daniel and wife Lynnett of Leonard, MO; three step-children, Melanie “Lynn” Klingele and husband Marvin, Bruce Scott Hoffman and Mathew William Hoffman and fiancé Alisha; nine grandchildren, Casie Daniel, Jason Daniel and wife Mallory, Adam Gander and wife Lauren, Ashley Gander, Jenna Myers, Madlen Meyer, Landon, Alex and Lucas Daniel; eight step-grandchildren, Matthew Waltman, Michael Courtney, Audra Klingele, Dustin, Dillon, Dalton and Trevor Hoffman and Alivia Handy; six great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Velva Steele and husband Clinton of La Plata, MO and Phyllis Gordon of Shelbyville, MO; five brothers, Ronnie Rourke and wife Pam of Vandalia, MO, Donnie Rourke of Parsons, KS, Glennon Parish and wife Jane of Parsons, KS, David Parish and wife Kay of Fayetteville, AR and Gary Parish and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Patrick; her husband Bruce; her step-father Alva Parish; one brother, Frederick Rourke; one step-sister, Melissa McGlothlin and one infant step-brother, Steven Parish.

Carroll was a graduate of Novelty High School and attended the Shelbina Christian Church. She owned and operated the Bethel Steak Haus in Bethel, MO and the LaBelle Steakhouse and Lounge in LaBelle, MO. She loved reading her Bible, watching Cardinal Baseball and attending the sporting events of her grandchildren. Carroll’s greatest joy was her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and especially her dog “Tiny”.

Funeral services were 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 3, 2011, at the Shelbina Christian Church in Shelbina, MO, under the direction of Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO. Burial was in the LaBelle Cemetery, LaBelle, MO. Minister Jim Bilbro officiated the services.
