LEROY CARPER

LeRoy Carper, age 75, of Ewing, MO, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, in his residence in Ewing, MO.


He was born March 15, 1937, at LaBelle, MO, the son of Roy Lewis and Anna Lou Wilson Carper. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Charles Herbert Carper.


Surviving are two sons, Kevin L. Carper of Ewing, MO, and Douglas D. Carper and wife Beverly Jane of Maywood, MO, four grandchildren, Justin Joe Carper and wife Alicia, Lakin Stallard and husband Lewis, Bradly (Brad) Carper and his fiancée Britta, and Troy Carper and his wife Elizabeth, two great grandchildren Lane Carper and Bently Joe Carper, two step-great grandchildren Emma Gist and Daltton Stallard, and one sister, Dorothy Ausmus, and six half brothers and sisters Paul Carper of Quincy, IL, Donnie Ray Carper, Diane TenEyck, Betty Fay Scrifers, Susan See and Regina Chapman all of LaBelle, MO and numerous nieces and nephews.


LeRoy received his education at LaBelle Schools. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962. He worked for several factories including Brower Manufacturing in Quincy, IL, and Electric Wheel now Titan. He also worked for Valley Steel for two years in Cookeville, TN. LeRoy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church at Ewing, MO and Veterans of Foreign Wars.


Memorial services with full Military Honors will be held in the LaBelle Cemetery on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. Reverend Jesse Rogers will officiate the services. Mr. Carper’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be no visitation.
