Safe Stop Trick-or-Treat On Halloween In Edina

After wrapping up the Knox County Candidate Forum the Knox County Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for their next event, which is the Safe Stop Trick-or-Treat on Halloween. Every year businesses and individuals hand out candy to children in a safe environment.

This year a change has been made to the location of the event. Instead of having Safe Stop at the 4-H Pavilion this year’s event will be indoors at the Knox County Community Center.

If you plan to hand out “treats” during the event just bring yourself, whatever decorations you wish to decorate your table with and whatever “treats” you wish to hand out. Tables and chairs will be provided by the community center and there is no charge to anyone who wishes to participate.

Participants will be able to begin setting up at 3:00 p.m. on Halloween, Wednesday, October 31, 2012 and the event will start at 4:00 p.m. and go until 6:00 p.m.

Each year for the past several years the number of children who attend Safe Stop has steadily grown. Nearly 200 children attended last year’s event, so keep that in mind when planning treats to bring and hand out this year.
