LaVaughn B. “Vicki” Lindsey, of Clarence died Sunday, December 30, 2012, at the Clarence Care Center. She had been in failing health. Vicki was born in Webb City, OK to Raymond Franklin and Besse E. (Harris) Vickers.
Prior to retirement she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company where she was the first woman to hold Plant Assigner position. Vicki was a member of Clarence Christian Church and the Clarence study group. She was also a licensed Missouri Funeral Director.
She married Don Lindsey April 23, 1970 in Kansas City, Kansas, and he survives of the home. Also surviving are a nephew, Lowell Raymond Vickers of Farmington, NM, nieces, Carole Gassman of Casper, WY, Barbara Barnwell of Penrose, CO, several great-nieces and great-nephews, and a host of friends.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, a son Stanley Edward Lindsey, a brother Lowell R. Vickers and a sister Gwendoyn Fox.
Services were 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Clarence Christian Church with interment and committal prayers in Locust Hill Cemetery in Knox County, MO. Arrangements by Cater Funeral Home.
