   Mary Jane Hamlin, age 63, of Novelty, Missouri died early Wednesday morning, January 9, 2013, at the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina where she resided a few days.

On July 8, 1949, in Keytesville, Missouri she was born as a twin daughter to Perley Francis and Mary Rachel Smith Brenizer.  On July 8, 1967, she was united in marriage to Thomas Bruce Hamlin.

Mary Jane is survived by her husband, Tom of Novelty, MO, two sons, Rob Hamlin and wife, Karina of Wright City, MO and Roger Hamlin and wife, Amanda of Olathe, KS;  three granddaughters, Andrea Cevallos, Luisa Hamlin and Peyton Hamlin; two brothers, Eugene Brenizer and wife, Marjorie of Novelty, MO and J.L. Brenizer and wife, Belinda of Edina, MO; her twin sister, Margaret Elaine Hamlin of Osage Beach, MO;  her uncle, Victor Brenizer of Edina, MO and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary Jane received her education at the Novelty Elementary School and was a graduate of Knox County R-I High School in Edina, MO.  On August 28, 1981 at the Kirksville Vocational Technical Center she graduated with top honors as a licensed practical nurse and was also president of her nursing class.  During her career as an LPN she worked for twelve years with Dr. Nancy Hutchinson in Kirksville, MO, seven years at the Edina Health Clinic and at various medical facilities around the area.

She was a member and pianist of the Locust Hill Community Church and a very active member of the Pioneer Rangers Saddle Club.  Mary Jane always had a warm smile for everyone she met.  She never hesitated to help anyone in need.  Mary Jane enjoyed cooking, gardening and crafts.  She especially enjoyed and cherished her kids and family.

Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.  Reverend Reese Blaine and Reverend Bill Gaines officiated at the services.  Music was provided by Debbie Peters, Audrey Hamlin and LeaAnn Hamlin vocalist with organist, Ed Anderson.  Burial was in Locust Hill Cemetery, west of Novelty, MO.  Casket bearers were Nick Brenizer, Chase Brenizer, Kevin Buckhaulter, Walter Spilker, Evan Cardwell, and John David Parsons.
