Farm City Night Scheduled For Saturday, Feb. 16
The Clark County Extension Council would like to invite everyone to Farm/City Night, scheduled for Saturday, February 16, 2013, at the Clark County Middle School in Kahoka.
The event will include a soup and sandwich supper, served by the Clark County Farm Bureau from 4:30 – 6:30 pm. Farm Bureau is accepting free-will donations of canned food items to donate to the Ronald McDonald House.
Highlighting the evening will be the World Bird Sanctuary, presenting the “Raptor Awareness” program. Attendees will see falcons, hawks, owls, vultures, and even an eagle-up close!
The World Bird Sanctuary is both a unique St. Louis attraction and entertaining environmental education opportunity. With over 305 acres and over 200 animals in our care, they offer a one-of-a-kind wildlife experience. The World Bird Sanctuary’s mission is to preserve the earth’s biological diversity and to secure the future of threatened bird species in their natural environments. They work to fulfill that mission through education, captive breeding, field studies and rehabilitation.
